When: Saturday, August 8, 2009
Time: 5:30 to 7:30 PM
Where: Maple Grove at Avery Park in Corvallis
A good old-fashioned picnic in the park! Come enjoy the supper we'll provide, hosted bar, games, sunshine, and friends, all while helping Basic Righs Oregon ensure equality for LGBTQ Oregonians.
In honor of the passage of the Safe Schools Act, which puts teeth into Oregon's anti-bullying law, we'll organize picnic games such as a three-legged race. Brought to you by our mistress of ceremonies, the fabulous Miss LaVerne Lydell!
Suggested admission donation $25.
To help us know how much food to get, buy tickets online at
http://tinyurl.com/Corvallis Picnic. But you can just show up! Prepaid tickets will be held at the gate. Work exchange available (please contact me). No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
If you can't attend, please consider sending a donation. See the web link above.
Directions: Take Highway 20/34 (Philomath Blvd.) to 15th St. Turn south and go over a short bridge. Turn right into the park. Turn right at the rainbow flag.
