Get your PRIDE gear! Every Friday night in June (+entire PRIDE Weekend) we will be playing "Totally Gay Lollipop Karaoke" in the karaoke room! Every time you sing a song you will choose a lollipop from our totally gay lollipop pyramind! We have painted some of the stems, and the color of the stems corresponds to a prize, you could win cash, e-room gift certificates or pride gear like wristbands, bracelets, necklaces etc. It's gonna be totally gay...so you should be there.
And don't forget! Friday night is vodka bracelet night! You can buy a "vodka bracelet" for 5.00 and it will be good for 5 vodka drinks! What a deal!

Confluence Concerts - Portland, Salem, and Corvallis

Confluence: Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus, will present a concert entitled "New Day. Songs of Freedom. With a Beat." in Portland, Friday June 4; Salem Saturday June 5;  and Corvallis, Sunday June 6. This moving concert  includes  powerful songs that have arisen from the pain of slavery and the Civil War years, from the civil rights and peace movements in America and the struggle for freedom in Africa, and from the sadness of those mourning the loss of those who died of AIDS and standing with those  living with HIV. The concert also includes joyful songs celebrating the victories along the way. The opening number is the exuberant "We Are Free," celebrating the end of slavery, and ends with "Everybody Rejoice" from The Wiz. The emotional "N'kosi Sikelel' i Afrika," "Prayer for Africa," was sung at the inauguration of Nelson Mandela. "Distant Land," a John Rutter piece, was written shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and holds the promise for peace. Influence, the accomplished subgroup ensemble  of Confluence, will sing "Shed a Little Light on Me," a James Taylor tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., and "Prayer of the Children," honoring the most innocent victims of war. Portland Gay Men's Chorus: Music From the Heartland

As PGMC celebrates 30 years of "Opening Hearts and Minds" we hope you will join us on June 19th as we welcome Heartland Men's Chorus of Kansas City to Portland for our final concert of the season, "Music from the Heartland".
