More Info	Join Lavender Womyn for a Halloween party at Lynne's home in Southeast Salem. There will be an all women's LIVE band performing. The BYOB and munchies dance party will get started at 7:00 pm on Saturday night October 29th, 2011. The LIVE band will perform a variety of music to dance to, and weather permitting, she can start up her outdoor firepit and dance outside, too. Let's hope for no rain!!! You can dress up in costumes or not, doesn't matter, we can still have a fun party either way! The house will be decorated and you might even find a few spider cupcakes and cookies. Lavender Womyn's 8th Anniversary Event

This video is of last year's (2010) celebration event.  This year, on Sunday, August 21, 2011 @ 2:00pm, we will be celebrating Lavender Womyn's 8th anniversary at Kim and Kathy's home.

We will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and bottled water.

We'd like you to bring a side dish to share and your own beverage if you'd like something other than water.  Also, bring your own chair or blanket, if you'd like one to sit on.

This is a family event, so bring the kids.  We'll have volleyball, badminton, basketball and billards available.  We also have a huge sandbox, teeter totter and video games for the kids.

If you have a squirt gun, you might want to bring it as well.  If it's a nice day, we'll have some water games to play.  We're also going to play a really fun game that is sure to get you laughing until your stomach hurts.  :)

For those who want to stay into the evening, we'll get the fire pit going and roast some smores, and sit around the campfire.

It's going to be a great time, so be ready to come celebrate with us at our home.  If you've never attended a Lavender Womyn's event before, no worries.  There are going to be LOTS of new women here who are attending for the first time, so you won't be alone.  I know you'll find Lavender Womyn to be very warm and welcoming, so come join us and have a wonderful day of celebration.

Salem Photography Club Meeting

The next Salem Photography Club will meet February 13th at 2:30 at Clockworks Cafe at 241Commercial St NE downtown. If the weather is nice we can make it a partial photo shoot day, otherwise bring some photos to share if you want.

Salem Lavender Womyn Annual Holiday Event

The chill is in the air, the leaves have fallen and the holidays are upon us.  Come join us in celebrating friendship as we gather together for our 7th annual Holiday Event.  Bring your favorite holiday dessert to share, and whatever you'd like to drink.  We'll be playing the gift exchange game, so also bring a wrapped gift ($10 or less). 

Children are welcome.  We have lots of video games and toys available.

Let's Celebrate 7 years of Lavender Womyn - AUGUST 21, 2010 @ 1:00pm

Potluck/BBQ at Kim and Kathy's in Salem, OREGON

There will be a potluck/BBQ at Kim and Kathy's home located in Salem on Saturday, August 21st @ 1:00pm.  We will be celebrating 7 years of Lavender Womyn enhancing womyn's lives.  Many friendships, relationships and support has been developed through this group.  So, it's time to come together and enjoy this wonderful network of womyn we have!

 

Kathy and I will provide hamburgers, veggie burgers and the buns.  An RSVP would be appreciated so we know how much to buy.  I don't want to buy 20 burgers and have 50 women and kids show up, or vice versa.  Please send RSVP's or any questions to:  support@lavenderwomyn.com  

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on outside, and your own beverage.  Alcohol is okay, but please drink responsibly.  This is a family event...children are welcome to come.  We have a huge backyard, and lots of toys and video games.  We also have a volleyball net where people can play badminton or play with an oversized volleyball.  Plus, there's a big sand box and a teeter-totter.  And, let's not forgot about basketball. Yes, we have that, too.

So, lots to do and play, and lots of space to do it in.

I hope you will join us in celebrating a wonderful group of women from all over.  Lavender Womyn now has 14 chapters created with 6 very active ones.  Plus, our Lavender Womyn Personals site has millions of women from all over the world with a virtual dating feature and SmartMatch technology.  And, we've also recently re-designed our logo.  So, lots of reasons to celebrate!

Lavender Womyn DiningOUT - Salem and Corvallis

The Salem Lavender Womyn's next DiningOUT event will be at Teriyaki Town & Sushi at 6:00pm this Saturday, July 17th.  We must make reservations for this place, so I need your RSVP.

 

Their address is 3854 River Rd N, Keizer, OR. The restaurant is located in the same complex as Steam Heat Coffee in Keizer, which is across from Bi-Mart.

 

Their food is prepped fresh every day and they score well on the restaurant inspections.

The Corvallis-Albany Lavender Womyn will be going to Loca Luna, another new restaurant in the expanding Corvallis fine dining scene. The menu embraces Latin-fusion fare with an emphasis on fresh and local food.  Reviews thus far have been wonderful.

Salem Lavender Womyn's Event

Our next monthly coffee event will be on Saturday, July 3rd at 11:00am.  This event will be held at Journey's Metaphysical store in downtown Salem.  You might be asking..."Why are we having coffee at a store?"  Well, Journey's is owned by Lavender Womyn members Torrii and Lisa, and they have recently added coffee and tea to there list of products.  Here's what Torrii has to say about their coffee and tea products...

 

"We made the back part of the building into a tea lounge. So there are tables and chairs as well as two couches. We have Jasmine Pearl Loose Leaf Tea in 14 different varieties and sell it in 3 different size pots for here, or you can get it to go. We also have Royal Kona Coffee now in Regular, decaff and five additional flavors."
