For our members who aren’t techno-savvy, adding photos to your profile can be a daunting task. We understand that not everyone has graphics skills, so this week, I thought I’d address the most common photo-related problem we run into when answering your customer service requests.
My photo is too big to upload. How do I make it smaller?
In most cases, the problem is that a you have taken a photo with a digital camera, and the file size of the photo exceeds our specifications.
In short: you’ve got a photo that’s just too big to upload.
So you’re going to have to shrink your photo down a bit so it will fit onto our site.
We could discuss photo editing software and the like, but I have something even better for you:
www.ShrinkPictures.com
This (free!) website will allow you to upload your huge photo and instantly shrink it down to a more manageable size. From there, you can save the picture to your computer and upload it onto our site. Try it out! It’s a great alternative to expensive photo editing software, and you might learn something along the way.
Let us know what you think! I’ll be helping out with more tips as questions arise, so feel free to suggest topics in the comments section below!
