When I am not working, I devote a lot of my time to animals and being involved in causes which I believe are worthwhile to promote change. There is nothing worse than seeing animals bought from shelters only to be used at medical testing facilities. That is just one of the many issues I try to make a difference in. I also believe in continuously educating myself in my field so I can be of more use. I have a dog I rescued from a shelter and she has been one of the lights of my life for several years now. Family is very important to me. I have a teen daughter, and it is her help and love that keeps me going every day.
Before I go, I do want to mention that I am a certified Reiki practitioner. Reiki is an alternative source of healing that is done with no needles, nudity, and very little touch. It is a form of energy work, and it has been known to cure any illness from back pain to cancer. I am certified to practice both on people and your pets. I do recommend this with a regimen from your Doctor or Vet. Lastly, the good news is that one does not have to be sick to have a Reiki session done. They will promote changes in healthy bodies as well. The effects can ONLY be positive.
